Whatever you do...

I was reading in Colossians 3 this morning and some wonderful words jumped out at me.

The whole chapter is so good, but here are a few highlights.
Col 3:16
16 Let the words of Christ, in all their richness,
live in your hearts and make you wise.
Use his words to teach and counsel each other.

NLT

I want to be wise don't you?!! It's His Word that will do that.
I pray for wisdom constantly.

In fact...if I could ask for prayer, I'm in the midst of making a huge decision about something that I believe God has put on my heart to do.

Please pray for me that I will hear clearly and God will open doors for this.
Thanks so much!!!

Then in verse 17 it says:
Col 3:17
17 And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.
NLT

How powerful is that?!!

WHATEVER YOU DO....
I do alot of things!

I needed this Word today, I hope it blesses you too!

PS: the next verse is:
Col 3:18
18 You wives must submit to your husbands, as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord.
NLT

Think that's any coincidence??? =)

I enjoyed the last verse.
"as is fitting for those who belong to the Lord."
I am reminded I do it because I belong to Him--and not just because I am a female.
I am a servant because He was a servant.

Wisdom is such a great gift of the Lord. In all areas of our lives we need to have it, lovely verse. Sue I pray you will know in your heart it is from the Lord let his peace surround you and his wisdom fill you, may only Godly doors be open and may he close those that are not a part of his plan for you. Gods will not ours be done.
Love, ali

I keep thinking about that phrase- If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.

This would be a God thing- cause it's way bigger than me!

Hi Sue,
Thanks for stopping by my site! I always love new people visiting and leaving comments and hopefully staying on with me. Thank you, yes I am feeling much better. I am still rather technicolor from the black and blues but it's going away. ONLY by the grace of God did I come out of this without breaking my neck! ONLY!! I landed on my head and neck. I am very thankful for being spared and give God all the glory!!

It's so funny that you posted scripture about Godly wisdom, because one of the verses that I have been meditating on in James deals with that very thing.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5

Not only does God give us the tools to become wise, but He enables us to us the tools. I'm praying that you will possess wisdom and discernment about your decision.

It never ceases to amaze me where the Lord brings me each day. I just love the fact that with the wonderful world of blogland I can find Christian women and read their stories and witness.

Oh how we need to hear God's voice through his precious Word. Yes, "Use HIS words to teach and counsel each other."
