Reminder, Jesus said...

Luke 6:27-28
27 "But I tell you who hear me:

Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
NIV

Have you prayed for those who mistreat you lately?

How funny God came to me with this just the other day and I read this passage earler. Ok I get it!

Why yes. Yes, in fact, funny you should ask. I've got someone trying really hard from afar to mistreat me this very morning.

And I *have* prayed for them. But I must admit that they are *so* confused that I must first pray that God will give me faith that nothing is impossible for Him...that He can reach and work in *even* them.

Ouch! Uh, No, I haven't! I have been struggling with that so much lately. Some people in my life that I really don't want to love. Thanks for the great word!

Blessings,

I have to admit, this is the hardest thing for me.... to be able to pray for those who hurt me. But it's SO important!

Because of someone else posting along these lines I have been praying that God would show me that He was talking to the object I am praying for.

Oh boy, I am such a slacker in the prayer area lately...I don't even pray for those that DON'T mistreat me near as much as I should.
Thanks for the gentle reminder!

I often just kind of put those people out of my mind... thanks for reminding me of what Jesus tells me to do with them.

JOYfully in Him,

Lord, I pray for those who are stepping on me at work as they try to get to where they want to go. I forgive them, and I pray you open their eyes to where true victory and success come from.
Lord, I pray for those parents who think poorly of my son. I pray that they would see him through your eyes, but I pray I would also see THEM through YOUR eyes and forgive and understand them.
Lord, fill me with Your grace, and may I always see others as Your children...whether they know it or act it or not. May I have mercy and compassion for them, from You.
Michelle
