Tired of Waiting?

Waiting can be so difficult. It's one of my least favorite things to do.
I can remember the final month of my pregnancy waiting for my child to be born. I had dreams that I was eternally pregnant! Can you picture that? Oh, let's just NOT.

Waiting has purpose.
Isaiah 40:30
But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength.
NLT

If you are in a season of waiting right now, I encourage you to use this time to grow in strength in the Lord.

Put your hope in the Lord right now and trust Him in your waiting.

Hebrews 6:13-15
When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, He swore by himself, 14 saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants." 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

This winter season always makes me feel like I am in a season of waiting. We even speak of it that way, don't we - in the spring is a glorious rebirth after a long winter gestation. I need to remember that my mind and spirit need this season of a quieter time for reconnection and replenishing. I appreciate your reminder.

I have been waiting for year, on one prayer, and will continue to wait as long as I have breath. I know my prayer will be answered, I just hope I live to see it with my own eyes.

I am so glad to find your blog. Waiting is hard for me too. I always start out well and then end up getting out in front of God and messing something up!!! This past summer was a very trying time for us, family troubles. I was standing in the kitchen one day, crying and I could just almost hear the Lord say to me.....Be Still and Know That I am God. What did I do, I continued to not be still and then things blew up and I got still then!!! Oh, this will we live with!!! Cindy

When studying the first chapter of Acts a few weeks ago, the Lord brought to light a connection that I don't think I'll ever forget. The disciples were told to wait for the promise of the Father... why make them wait? Why not send the HS right away to help comfort them? I think it tracks back to Isaiah 40:31... as we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed. The Lord knew how much they would need that in the coming days... there is wellness in our waiting. I love that. :)

Thank you. I am in a major season of waiting and I truly needed to read this tonight. Satan loves to come in and feed us a lie everytime- God's not really going to fullfil that, God's too busy for you, etc. . . THANK YOU for being HIS LIGHT tonight!

I feel like we could be friends (I say this as I make coffee for me and my husband at 8pm!)
I'm a "thirtysomething" mom of 3 kids with a music ministry in the works. I just started a new blog to journal this next chapter in my life. Would love for you to drop by and visit! Take care, waiting patiently...

Sorry to hear about the censorship of your abusive video. My 14 y.o. daughter Lael has been coming up against a lot of this type of thing at school. She has been told no to speeches about Jesus and abortion. Fortunately her Dad is an attorney and puts a stop to it so she does go ahead and give her speeches and write her papers as she wishes. Unfortunately, some of these teachers are Christian and believe legally they can't let her. Then her Dad steps in and shows them the law. People need to know the law.

My Pastor (when we lived in Michigan) used to say that Waiting in Prayer is easier if you're waiting for the Truth -- nothing is impossible with God.

During the times when I have had the most difficult time waiting, his words have come back to me and helped me to examine what I was waiting for, and why.

Thanks for your post. And thanks for coming by Midwest Moms. You are welcome anytime!
