My 14 y.o. daughter Lael has been coming up against a lot of this type of thing at school. She has been told no to speeches about Jesus and abortion. Fortunately her Dad is an attorney and puts a stop to it so she does go ahead and give her speeches and write her papers as she wishes. Unfortunately, some of these teachers are Christian and believe legally they can't let her. Then her Dad steps in and shows them the law. The disciples were told to wait for the promise of the Father... why make them wait? Why not send the HS right away to help comfort them? I think it tracks back to Isaiah 40:31... as we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed. The Lord knew how much they would need that in the coming days... there is wellness in our waiting. I love that. :)Heather Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11377396008136738093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636139298576673779.post-5161984234922791092009-01-31T12:23:00.000-05:002009-01-31T12:23:00.000-05:00a timely and gladly received word! thank you!!shei...a timely and gladly received word! thank you!!

sheilaSheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06781114872547579867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636139298576673779.post-65408941630350063462009-01-31T12:17:00.000-05:002009-01-31T12:17:00.000-05:00I am horrible at waiting I want things to move alo...I am horrible at waiting I want things to move along in my time...thanks for the reminder that God uses our time of waiting for specific purposes.Melhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13682296763369964666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1636139298576673779.post-46224342904723118702009-01-31T11:08:00.000-05:002009-01-31T11:08:00.000-05:00I am so glad to find your blog. This past summer was a very trying time for us, family troubles. I was standing in the kitchen one day, crying and I could just almost hear the Lord say to me.....Be Still and Know That I am God. What did I do, I continued to not be still and then things blew up and I got still then!!! Oh, this will we live with!!!
