Needing the waters to part?

He can do that.

Heb 11:29
By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land;
but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.
NIV

He has not changed, He still parts the waters on behalf of his children.

Do you realize that it was God that led them TO that impassable waterway?
Ex 13:18
So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.
NIV

Then, I love what Moses tells the people as they look at their impossible circumstances and panic:

Ex 14:13-14
Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid.
Stand firm and you will see the deliverance
the LORD will bring you today.
The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.
14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
NIV

Let's read these words in light of OUR current
circumstances and believe the God who loves
being faced with a "this one's impossible" situation.

Believe Him now.

For a further boost of faith, listen to this song. It's one of my favorites (warning, cheezy video).

I love the Exodus 14 passage; especially the part about "Stand still and see the deliverance of the Lord". The people that tortured, enslaved, oppressed, and weakened the Hebrew people would not be seen again! What freedom!
How this can be applied to so many areas of our lives!
I am with 'A Stone Gatherer' I want to put this on my list of verses to memorize for 2009.

Beautiful post! Thanks for the reminder that He is still in the business of parting seas and performing miracles... and that not every apparent difficulty we run into is put there by Satan... often the Lord Himself leads us to trying situations so that we can witness His glory and power. God bless, Sue!
