When Your Spouse is and Alcoholic

Photobucket

I've spent some time with women whose lives have been destroyed by alcohol. It's heartbreaking to say the least. I just want to wrap my arms around them and make the pain go away, but of course the issues are much deeper than a hug can mend.

I found a really good and thorough website that I believe offers a realistic look at hope and healing.

If that is you or you want to help someone walking through this, check it out. The website is filled with information.

My prayers are with you.

I personally haven't experienced that but have seen many who do live in that situation. Thank you for posting a web site that offers hope and healing.
God bless you.

My husband is an alcoholic as well. For the past 6 years, I have been trying to understand and be patient with his alcohol addiction Thanks for posting these resources, it truly shed some light and adds more knowledge about his condition. I am now researching for institution that might help him out and I found http://www.cedarsprings.org/. This is near our place so hopefully he'll accept my suggestion of going to a rehab..

Thanks for this, Sue. We have good friends where the wife is the alcoholic in the marriage. It's so very sad to see the devestation her addiction is causing to the marriage, to their children and to herself. Sadly, she's completely in a place of denile and anger right now and will only be in relationship with people who "understand".

BTW, like how you've prettied-up your blog :-)
