proverbs 29:25 is one of my favorite verses. how much FREEDOM is found in this thought - releasing ourselves from the snare of fearing man. i want to live in that place of freedom.
i think of that verse, and of galatians 1:10 - "am i now trying to win the approval of man? if i were, i would no longer be a slave to Christ!"
it seems like - sometimes that verse is most difficult when applied to parents. fearful of what they will think, of what they will say, of what will happen to the relationship. if you do what God is asking you to do, if you do what spiritual counsel is asking you to do - what if your parents are angry?
Erin, Don't be sorry, that's where you are right now and it's completely understandable.
That is a very big issue for all of us at some point in our lives, especially as women.
I think that obeying God first even applies with parents, and God will bless you for it. Especially when you still honor your parents and are respectful even when you disagree with them.
I LOVE THIS! And I love the beautiful picture of your family on the side!
What a precious baby girl! It makes me yearn for our Lydia...but the wait is long and I must trust in the One who orchestrates all things for His glory and my good...right? I keep reminding myself of what I already know! : )

I love to think of resting in the arms of our Father and knowing that he, just as a mother of cubs would fight to keep me safe no matter what!
Great picture - one that moms would appreciated.

First of all--what an awesome picture. And I like your encouraging Scripture passages with it.
