It all comes down to one word...trust.

Really it does.
Fear brings worry.

When I’m in a situation that I can’t change, it’s all about trusting the One who holds the world in His hands.

If I’m scared, it’s probably because I am trusting in my own strength and feeling inadequate- as well I should!

Trust.

Psalms 9:10
10 Those who know Your name will trust in You,
for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.
NIV

Psalms 13:5-6
5 But I trust in Your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in Your salvation.
6 I will sing to the LORD,
for He has been good to me.
NIV

Psalms 20:7
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
NIV

Psalms 25:1-2
To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
2 in You I trust, O my God.
NIV

Psalms 62:8
8 Trust in Him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to Him,
for God is our refuge.
NIV

It’s simple.

Trust.

When our daughter left to live in Kathmandu, Nepal, I realized that I could no longer protect her myself from the world. But I knew that there was One who loved her even more than I (which I frankly find hard to believe!), and, though I could not see her, He could. I have rested in His sovereign care for her. (And remind myself of this when the news shows military coups, or when her twin visited her last year and they enacted a shoot-to-kill curfew each evening.)

I agree wholeheartedly with you that the key word is TRUST. And we all must TRUST that He who is able to do more than we would even ask, He who loves our children even more than we do, He who can actually see the situations our children are in -- HE will be with them AND us throughout it all.

Thanks for your transparency.

This is a big word in my life right now.
Do I trust?
Oswald Chambers was along these lines this morning. Will I just step out in the dark and trust that He is there?
Or will I say, Yes Jesus,but....."
How I pray I will step out and not look back.
By faith Sharon..........

Thank you Sue!! I needed that today. Sometimes I still want to trust my own way of living instead of trusting what God has for me and what God is able to do for me.

Have a great day

This is one of my favorite verses:

Romans 10:11
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
NIV

He's proven that over and over to us, hasn't He?!?

Love ya,
Leigh

Simple, yet powerful truth.
Imagine how hurt we would be if someone we dearly loved did not trust us....
How must HE feel?
Makes trust a little bit easier don't you think?

Trusting with you, Sue! For your son and for your future...mine, too.

Is your son going to be here in the Springs?

Praying for you, Friend. He is worthy of our Trust.
Love,
