A New Look

Hello,
My life seems to be filled with change these days so I thought I'd change the look of my blog too!

Change used to scare me, I really hated it. But now I see that change is just a part of normal life, and it's healthy.

We all go through seasons with friends, jobs, ministries...you name it! The one thing that I have learned is that God never changes through it all. However, sometimes He alters my outlook on this dance of life. Whenever there's change, it seems He shows me a new aspect of Himself in my life.

Kids go off to college, jobs change, addresses change but God remains steady and faithful. This nation is going through changes...not sure how it will all play out, but I am confident that the Lord watch over His people. He will continue to lead us and guide us as He always does- in direct correlation to our dependency on Him.

So as our family goes through changes, I'm sure many of your families are going through changes also. Some huge, some not so life altering, but our foundation is built on the One who puts it all together and picks up the pieces if it seems to fall apart.

Don't worry, my life is not falling apart. I will share more later, but really it's all about God bringing us to a place He wants us to be! He's giving us a new look. :)

He is soooo good and sooo faithful!!! I can't imagine what life would be like without His love!

What about you? Any change going on? What's it doing to ya??

Hugs,
Sue

PS: Do you like the new header???

Lookin' GOOD!!!!

Status quo here - except the oldest boy is getting married in Nov. And the youngest just turned one and is getting ready to walk. Oh yeah, the youngest is one and the oldest is 28 ... crazy huh?!?!?! 28, soon to be 27, 4 and 1. So, even status quo is crazy!

Love the new look, Sue. I've been doing some of the same thing around my bloggy place.

I know my comments are few, but I still read faithfully via my Google Reader and come to look around when I get the chance.

Thanks for all you do.

I LOVE the new look Sue.

Just like you, we are going through changes. I'm so thankful to know that regardless of the change, HE remains.

We are focusing on HIM, rather than the circumstances, knowing that nothing EVER catches him by surprise!

He has great plans in store, and he only requires me to walk in FAITH!

I'm gripping the hem of his garment.

I'm praying for ya Sister.

I ♥ it!

I have always loved change... sometimes I change the furniture just for the fun of a change :)! Not much changing around here lately, maybe I need to rearrange the furniture today...

The new look is great!

And change for me isn't so much scary as depressing...

My son is in Kindergarten and my daughter will be next year.

Just trying to figure out how I fit in and what I'm supposed to be doing with my life now that my children are a little more independant...

I like it. I like the white background, too.

You are right, nothing ever really stays the same. Everything changes. Thanks be to God, He never does. The solid Rock.

Have a blessed weekend.

Change is good, life would be boring without it - can you imagine doing the same things with the same people all of your life? NOT!

I couldn't believe it when I came over here. You and I really should meet for coffee! We are going through some changes in our family as well...and my blog is in the midst of a major make over! MOst of the time I am okay and adjusting to the changes....but then I will tear up. Change is hard sometimes!! I am trying to focus on getting through today. Just being faithful with today. If I look into the future and contemplate what it all means, I start to cry again! Getting through today is so much easier!!!

I do enjoy change. Especially when it's pleasant.

Change? What hasn't changed for me. Youngest off to college 500 miles away. No young people hanging out at our house any more. Oldest madly in love (a good thing), but as a result, preoccupied. Eminent job change for my husband - probable move. Change all over. Me - really struggling.

It's good to know that I'm in great company.. you all get it! Change is hard but God is good!

I sure wish I could do coffee with you Gina, and all of you. Maybe I'll have to do "Praise and Coffee Nights, On the Road" and come to your towns!!! How fun would that be?!

I bought the picture from istock and made the header on Photoshop.

Sue,
I just recently started reading your blog & I have been blessed!
Thanks so much for writing and sharing your life with us!

As for change -- oh boy this has been the year of biggest change for my family! As a mama of many kiddos, ( some adopted internationaly too. :) our family went thru a huge life change this year..... my children & I all received the Lord Jesus Christ after having been involved w/ a religious cult. We also recently moved to the middle of no where and now live on a small farm. The Lord brought us to this place of quiet and peace & revealed Himself to us. Isn't He good??!!

Praise God for His tender mercies & His goodness!

He is most excellent for sure!!

I look forward to dropping by and reading again,

God bless,
gloria

I am working a new header too just a little slower than you. I really like the new look and the colors.

Changes, well, yes as walk along the path of life seasons change and with that a new view. Not always comfortable at first and sometimes hard to look at but after we adjust it can look better than before.
Just watch out for the poison ivy, still oozzyyy yucky

I think your new look is very nice. *grin*
Yes, the fact that God never changes makes all the other things that DO change a little less scary.
So thankful for Him!

Hey Sue,

First, I love the new look.

Second, life is changing for us. Hubby and I and are in the midst of the adoption process. We are hoping and praying that by the first of the year to add to our family. But, you know how the time table changes.
