Two shall become One

I need to start with a personal note here and thank you all so much for the prayers and sweet words of encouragment. I have great news...after 2 nights of wearing the wrist support- the pain is GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so thankful!!!!
Our God is faithful!!!!

I have been thinking alot about how easy it is to get in the rut of just plugging through our days and not taking the time to do the extra special things that make our husbands and family feel loved.

This week is going to be real simple, let's do something special for our husband and each member of our family this week to let them know that they are important to us.

Maybe it's a certain meal or dessert, maybe it's just setting the table like company is coming over- just for the family!
It may be a "thing" that you get or a "thing" that you do, but let's take a little time out of our busy-hectic schedule to love on our family members this week.

I would love to hear your ideas and "reports" on what you do and how your family responded!

Ephesians 5:15-21
15 Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise,

16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ

NIV

Have a wonderful week ladies!
I'm praying for our marriages,
Sue

I'm glad your pain is gone! What a relief! I also appreciate your post today. It's a great reminder and truthfully, its something we need to daily for our loved ones and our friends. We let ourselves get too busy and then we don't have time for the really important things.

What a great praise report.

I will accept this assignment. I will look for ways this week to touch and connect with each of my family members. It is such a simple idea, but yet one we often overlook in our business.

I'm so happy the pain is gone too. God is good..You are an inspirations to us all, on how you are always so faithful, never doubting his power to heal. I always look foward to the Two shall become One. Even a old married lady can learn.

This should be an easy one since the kids are out of town with my parents...LOL! Seriously though, this is a great idea, and one that we should use over and over again in our everyday lives.

Sue,
Thanks for the post!
I'm sorry to hear you've been in such pain but Praise God the pain is gone! I pray you will continue to be pain free.

I just noticed that you have Joel Rosenberg as one of your favorites. Did you used to read or post there when he had comments enabled? That's where I started my "blogging life"!!! A bunch of us have formed our own site, after he shut down his comments.
If you're interested, shoot me an email, I'll give you the address.

So glad to hear about the pain...

As far as the "surprise" your hubby thing...already got ya on that one...my kids are away this weekend for Father's Day so we surprised dad on Tuesday night with a home made cake (yellow with chocolate icing, his FAVORITE) and cards. He was blown away that we would do that for him...

Ya see, it really IS the small stuff sometimes that makes the BIGGEST impact!

Sue,
Great post about Joel Rosenburg.
I love that guy, he's awesome. Has a very good understanding of eschatology. I've read all of his books, "Epicenter" was a very good book. His last, "Dead Heat" - terrifying!

Well done!
