Live for Him

Don’t wait until you’re in the pig-pen or belly of a whale
to realize that God has a purpose for you and it’s to live for HIM.
He loves you.
He has NEVER walked away from you.
He pursues you.
He draws you.
He waits patiently.

Lord, let me be like Paul.
Once his eyes were open, he never looked back.
He didn’t consider the world and all it’s “glory”
to be anything worth leaving You for.
Give me that heart Lord!
That YOU are worth crawling through the crowd for.

Phil 3:8-9
What is more, I consider everything a loss
compared to the surpassing greatness
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,
for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ
and be found in Him

I love coming to your blog every day and reading your words of wisdom. It brings a ton o' joy to my soul!

I wasn't finished with my brokenheart, after all. God led me back to your two posts this morning during my quiet time. Psalm 147:3 spoke volumes to me. I, too, asked Him to heal every wound...from little hurts to big, fat whopper hurts. I could feel my heart healing from His Touch. My thoughts always seem to get the best of me. And I was reminded that the enemy comes only to steal and kill and destroy. But that Jesus has come that I may have life, and have it ABUNDANTLY. Abundantly! I love that word. We can't live abundantly when we listen to the enemy.

Thanks for checking on me!

Oh, how I desire to live as one who doesn't "consider the world and all it's 'glory' to be anything..."

Great word this morning Sue!

Sue,
I love that scripture in The Message...
"Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant - dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn't want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ - God's righteousness."
Thanks for sharing your life with us!

Excellent word Sue!!! I have learned how much better it is to stay in God's will than it is to have Him give me a 'wake-up call'!
