What does it mean to love for better or for worse, in sickness and in health?
I was looking up the song, "Mighty to Save" by Laura Story so that I could post it for you on Sunday, and I was so touched when I found this video. I just had to save it for TSBO Tuesday. It is Laura Story and her husband Martin's testimony.
I love this song. We sang it on Sunday, and every time we got to the line, "Savior, You can move the mountains..." I could not get past the word Savior. A lump would well up in my throat and I was overwhelmed at what a mountain-moving God we serve. I am astounded at His goodness.
I believe this video will touch your heart and remind you of the promises you made.
Also...you have to check out these very cool t-shirts for husbands and wives. I love them!

I LOVE that song! I had no idea of the story behind it though, nor of the gal who sand it. Thank you so much!
Let me tell ya, next time we sing it in church- I will not have dry eyes...
Thanks...
Thanks so much for sharing this video.....It is a great reminder.
Sue,
Thank you for this post!
My husband and I are walking that same path. I completely understand and can relate to all of what Laura was sharing in the video! God is faithful! My husband and I are witnesses to His goodness and strength! We know what it means in for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health for God has & is walking this path with us.
He is mighty to save!!
Blessings,
Miriam :)
Sue-I loved the shirts so I bought a short-sleeved and a long-sleeved! Thanks for the link!
Oh cool, see you soon ;)
HI SUE!!! This is Kim's sister Jenny! I bought one of the t-shirts too! I think that is so cool! :D What a powerful story from Laura Story!!
Hi Jenny!!! Yay, we'll have to start a movement here in Michigan!!!
I've been keeping on you through the other blog, good to hear from you and glad you guys are doing so good.
Hugs,
Sue
I sent a link with this song to my praise team earlier this week because I intended to teach it to them tonight... now I'll have Laura's "story" to go along with it. I love it when God puts pieces together like that!
Love the T-shirts too... gotta get me some of those! :)
Heather,
I'm glad to be part of the pieces!
I have one of those t-shirts (in pink with brown lettering), and I LOVE it! I saw it at the Christian bookstore about 9 months ago, and I have just about worn it out.

This post reminds me of a friend of mine who was in the middle of a divorce when her hubby was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. The divorce was initiated by her (they had spent years in counseling with him showing no interest in changing some destructive behaviors). In spite of everything, she stood by him for 18+ months - during all his surgeries, chemo treatments, etc. - and while they were still separated (and did ultimately divorce) - it was an incredible act of unselfish love.
Wow, that one got me. I can't belive SHE was the one singing that song...what an amazing story. I am finding it hard to stop crying for some reason.
Thank you for sharing that with us.
Oh, and the t-shirts are GREAT!
Thank you, thank you, Sue, for sharing this story and the video. I've just spent the last 20 minutes reading everything I could find on line about Laura, including the fact that she lives about an hour from me! I hope to go see her in Atlanta sometime soon. How cool!
This was a true bright spot in my day. Thanks again!
What a beautiful story about lisa and martin......
He is mighty to save!!
To God be the glory!
