Frustrated with people?

Here's what God says:
Eph 4:29-32
29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. (ie: grudge)
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
NIV

There's freedom in forgiveness.

Thank you! I have been battling feelings... or should I say, with the Holy Spirit. :) I am fighting urges of getting frustrated with a person in my life. It is a battle for me...although fighting the flesh is always a challenge, but definitely worth it.

Not for sure if any of that made sense.

I have these exact verses on index cards, but I think it was meant for me to read them from your blog today.

Thank you, again.

Have a very blessed day!

The video of your daughter and son is SO precious. TOO CUTE!

Sue, this is right where I am! I dealt with unforgiveness for one day this week. I was a very unhappy woman for one long 24 hours.

Now, my daughter is suffering with a broken relationship and I wanna smack a guy upside the head ('cept I'd have to jump to do it, he's 6'4").

It's much harder to forgive someone who hurts my child than it is someone who hurts me.

Thanks for the verses...I'm writing them down in my journal to study further in the morning.

I wrote it because I am struggling with being very hurt by some things that were said indirectly about me. There are so many courses to take, but the Lord brought me back to His Word and showed me the way of freedom.

What does it help to retaliate? Nothing. I've learned the hard way that "rehearsing the past" only leads to bondage, but letting it go and dealing with it God's way, brings freedom.

A part of me wanted to vent about it, but venting is exactly what the enemy wants me to do.

Venting is not therapy, it's sin.

PS:
I'm not saying that I will forget it and never address it. But I'm saying that IF I address it, it will be with the right heart and attitude and not out of offense.

Our motives need to be out of love for the person who hurt us. Jesus was a peace-MAKER, sometimes you have to confront things to make peace.

But always check your heart and motives.

I say this from experience.

Who me? Naw! Whatever makes you ask that? (She asks while dripping with sarcasm.) You want to know what frustrates me the most about people. I didn't think so either? :) How have you been doing? Are your wrists 100% now these days? I've been experiencing some growing pains and some schedule conflicts but I think it's better now. At least, I hope so.

Thanks for asking, my wrist is better as far as not having pain at night, but still healing. There is still numbness and achy-ness.
I guess it's all normal though.

You're funny!

You know, I just read similar passages in Psalms and Proverbs. Oh how we need the Word to shine in our hearts and lives and expose what needs to go... I fail so often, but by God's grace there is forgiveness.

And like Grace said, I feel at times I'm battling the Holy Spirit and He's not the One we should be at war with!

I think we all need those verses plastered in our homes so we are reminded daily!

Oh, dearest Sue! You have no idea how much I needed this - especially the past few weeks. Working for a psychiatrist - well, let's just say it can get a little frustrating! :0

Oh Kelly, I'm so sorry. I hope things get better...and by the way, I've never seen that smiley- and I love it (lol)
