It happens all the time. We end up in a cycle of craziness in our marriages.
Here is a short clip on the subject of love and respect. It compels us to understand our diffences and want to meet the deepest need of our husbands=respect.
The Crazy Cycle
After watching that short clip, check out these two stories.
Two stories I hear over and over.
They will make you laugh and touch your heart!!
I'm praying for our marriages!

Sue,
Very good!
I've been struggling with something in my mind the last few days & the linked story was very timely, for me.
Thank you, thank you!!!
:-)
Hi Sue, So good to "see" you again. I've had a wild and busy summer and haven't been blogging as much and certainly haven't been getting to read much but I'm hoping to get around more.
Susan
What a great visual analogy! And I love the 2 stories...so true!

hi sue. i noticed you always end your post with "i'm praying for our marriages" can i ask why? by the way, i love your posts.
pia,
I believe marriage is under attack these days and so I pray for them.
I pray each time I write that for everyone that would read my blog. I pray that their mariages would be strengthened and that our hearts would be turned to the Lord and our spouses.
It's not just marriages, but families under attack and there is so much at stake. The family is the pillar of our society and I pray that it would be strong and built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. If not, they will surely fall and our society along with it as we are seeing in many cases.
Thanks for the question and compliment!
Hi Sue,
Did we talk about Emerson when we had lunch together? He used to be the senior pastor at my church - and left to begin the Love & Respect ministry. It was sad to see him leave, but this Love & Respect thing is so good - I'm glad he's doing it.
Anyway, thanks for posting this, and for praying for our marriages!
Oh that is something we despeately need in today's marriages. God's Word goes straight to the heart of the matter, doesn't it? If we would have but ears to hear and hearts to listen and obey.
Take care Sue. Keeping quite busy around these parts with VBS this week :)
That was great...thanks for the video link, I am going to check it out!!!
Hubby and I are actually reading "The 4 Seasons of Marriage" together and having date night once a week to discuss it. It has been a HUGE blessing to an already amazing marriage!!!
Our marriages are worth fighting for and praying for!
Our marriages are worth fighting for and praying for. Great post!
I love your heart for marriage. I have never been married but I have a heart for marriage too. It always breaks my heart when I hear of anyone even considering divorce, especially believers.
God has brought a number of books to me about marriage and how men and women are designed. I have been able to see many times in the past where I should have handled situations differently and even to share this information with others who needed it. "Love and Respect" was one of the last books I read on marriage and it was like that puzzle piece that reveals the whole picture. It is most definetly worth reading or giving as a wedding gift.
Love your heart. Blessings!
