My Diagosis...

Well, it was a rough weekend girls!

I been in a lot of pain in my hands and arms, especially at night. There's nothing like walking around the race track at 3AM because I can't get feeling in my hands and the pain was so great that I thought I would pass out. If we had not been so far from home, I would have gone onto emergency for sure.

I ended up going into the doctor this morning and he believes I have carpal tunnel. I can't believe I overlooked all the obvious symptoms, but a couple months ago I asked our family doctor if I could have it and he didn't think so. Therefore I never looked into it.
Now that I have looked it up, the symptoms are classic.

So, I will keep up on the Two shall become One~ Tuesday posts and the monthly giveaways, but will otherwise be taking a bit of a break. I am typing this now with splints on and it is not easy-but you're worth it! :)

Thanks for all the prayers, I am relieved with the answer as my mind (and the enemy) was having a hay-day with my concern about the symptoms. My heart goes out to those with chronic pain.

My hope is in Him!
Sue

Hi Sue,
I'm glad that at least there is some diagnosis and can be treated. Yes, chronic pain stinks. Praise be to God that He gives us all that we need to carry on. Miss your writing; will be praying that God will heal you so that you can continue to minister through your writing.

Blessings,
Leti

Oh, Sue. How hard! I have lived with chronic health issues since my 30's. It is not fun! God has used it mightily...but it is not fun! Will you have surgery or something to treat it? I have a family member who had that and surgery helped her a lot. I'm sure you will now get all kinds of unasked for suggestions and advice and questions...kind of like I just did! I have had that as well with my issues. Try to remember that it is well meaning...and the people who love you just want to help! All of us out here in blog land love you to and want you to get better! I pray for God's most perfect will is done, and that it will ultimately be for your good and His glory.
Hang in there!
Keep clinging!

I'll miss your posts, but understand that you need to take time to take care of yourself. It'll do you a world of good. (I have arthritic hips; I know what I'm talking about.)

Youch! I get back only to find out you've been in pain. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you need to go through any surgery or anything like that? Concentrate on your health right now.

Sue,
I have the same problems - in legs, too. The doctors I have seen and the research I have done indicate that magnesium and potassium can help...and they actually have helped....alot of times those pains can be from mineral or vitamin deficiencies. Hope you are feeling better.

Oh that is nasty last June I started with what I thought was carpal tunnel it was so painful I would drive the car with my wrists on my knees and steer from the bottom of the wheel - it hurt to hold to steering wheel - and at night it was awful - I bought braces and found some relief in the tightness. It lasted for the month of June July Aug then slowly disappeared. Now June has hit it's happening all over again - but I made a connection. Around here in June we start to cut the grass and I have a half acre with a hand push lawn mower. I notice now the pain is evident during lawn cutting season?

Could you be aggrivating your CP by gardening? Just a thought.

Still praying healing over you in Jesus Name!

Praise report....after 2 nights with the wrist supports, the pain is gone!!!!

Sue, so glad the wrists supports are helping. Stay focused on the One who can heal you, He may use doctors and even surgery. I've had a similiar problem but hasn't bothered me in a while. My hands do when I over use them. Typing doesn't seem to bother them too much but I don't type as much as you do. At times they have tingled when I typed but it's not constant. Praying that you find relief and keep it. Blessings...Praying for you .

I have Tendonitis in my wrist! Boy howdy can it hurt! I do the same thing the doctor told you to do! If I start to feel the pain, I put my brace on and take some motrin. Usually after a few days it's better!
