Let's Live It!

2 Timothy 4:1-5

1 And so I solemnly urge you before God and before Christ Jesus — who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom:

2 Preach the word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not.
Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching.
They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers
who will tell them whatever they want to hear.

4 They will reject the truth and follow strange myths.

5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation.
Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord.
Work at bringing others to Christ.
Complete the ministry God has given you.
NLT

You skimmed through it, now go back and read every word.
It's a powerful verse for our lives, how does it apply to your life?

Prov 23:12
Apply your heart to instruction

and your ears to words of knowledge.
NIV

I just HAD to edit this and add this incredible video that my neighbor sent me (thanks Sheila!)

I know it is longer and many won't take the time to watch videos, but this one if truly worth it! It gets better and better as it goes along and will touch every heart!

If you have any influence at your church, I'd recommend it for every congregation!!
Be blessed- I was...and grab a kleenex!

Yes, that was a well-spent eight minutes and four seconds. Thanks for posting the video. Reminds me again of how great our God is and how thankful I am for His power to restore.
And that scripture you posted? I think it was just for me - the bolded words and everything - how perfect for where I am this week in training my kids!
You're a blessing and I am thankful. *grin*

I appreciate all you share, and your challenge women with. Sue, I am so much more aware of how weak we all are...even me...and how quickly I could fall if my eyes and heart aren't focused on the right thing - GOD! I think that the worst thing I could do would to be to think I am above it! I know this doesn't necessarily directly relate to this particular post, but more to all you share...especially the "marriage stuff"! Ilove it. We need to hear it.

Great video. I love the part about suffering, too, because it's a challenge to find the offering in the pain, sometimes, as the song goes.

I love the plain speaking of the New Living Translation. It just rocks!
I loved where is said "Preach the word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not."
How many times have I thought that this was not a favorable time, but maybe tomorrow....
Ahhhhhh.

Hi! It's me again. I am the Gina who commented...but it was on a different account. Sorry about that.

So...I finally had the time to sit down and watch the video...and bawled through the whole thing! We really do have a great Saviour!!!

I hope you are feeling okay. How are your arms??

Praise and Coffee said...

Gina, I wondered if that was you?!

My hands and arms are getting better. I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me cortisone shots in both arms and scheduled a nerve test on both arms.

Thanks for asking!!
Hugs,
Sue
