I'm still here...

Hello,
Thank you for your sweet words of concern!

I'm still here and kicking. It's been a rough week. I started feeling sick on Mother's Day and spent much of the week huddled on the couch with a fever and chills.

I went to the doctor Thursday and he said I had an upper respiratory infection and sinusitus. Two for one!

But don't worry, all was not lost. I had a fun day out on Wednesday...my first mammogram!
Being 40 is such a blast, not sure why I didn't try it sooner.

As I write this, I am recovering from a very rough night. On top of everything else, I seem to have a pinched nerve which causes my hands to go numb (and yet be in great pain at the same time) everytime I lay down.
The only thing that seems to eliviate the pain is standing up and walking around, which gets a little exhausting all night long.

It did give me opportunity to pray, so I did plenty of that. I included all of you and your marriages- so I am looking forward to some great testimonies!

I found such comfort in Him, even though the pain did not subside. I know He is my rock, He is my shelter and He is faithful!

Psalms 61:1-4

Hear my cry, O God;listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
4 I long to dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

So that is why I have not spent much time on the computer this week. I plan to get to my chiropractor soon and I'm sure things will be much better after that.

Sue

Sometimes I wonder why God uses pain/illness to keep me vigilant in prayer through the night. I mean, couldn't He just ask me to stay up late and chat with HIM?! Or maybe I would say...see you in the morning?

I'm praying that you'll feel better soon...and that you'll feel His Peace in the meantime.

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick, Sue. And I pray that pain will go away. I was not feeling well on Mother's Day and am taking medicine for an infection. Try to take it easy.

Oh Sue, I am so sorry to hear that you have not been well! YES...get to your Chiropractor immediately. We go EVERY week (the entire family) for preventative maintenance (I am 100% serious).

At least you got to wait until you were 40 for your first mammo...I had one at 26, one at 28, one 6 months ago, and now I just found out I HAVE to have them annually and I am only 36...what's up with that?!?!?!

I'm so sorry about your pinched nerve/disc! I do hope it eases up or goes away soon! I can imagine that it is terribly uncomfortable.
On another note, I had my first mammogram this year as well. Not fun but better than I was anticipating.
