Friday Fluff and other random happenings...

I'm the glove on the right...

Seriously! We are in a "lake effect" zone and it just keeps coming. I'm so looking forward to spring!!

******************************
I saw this headline the other day in the local news:

"Numerous semi-trucks collide, cow gets loose."
I hate it when that happens!

I looked online and found a few more good ones for ya:

Police begin campaign to run down jaywalkers

Milk drinkers are turning to powder

Smokers are productive, but death cuts efficiency

Blind woman gets new kidney from dad she hasn't seen in years

If Strike Isn't Settled Quickly, It May Last Awhile

Red Tape Holds Up New Bridges

Man Struck By Lightning Faces Battery Charge

*************************************

So, what kind of incentive do you use to motivate your children to behave?

I've used (of course these must be spoken with great enthusiasm):

...(at the grocery store) I'll let you ride the dinosaur if you behave!
...(at the grocery store) we'll go to McDonald's after this if you're good!
...if you give Mommy a couple more minutes on the computer I'll let you put on a bandaid!

And one that I'm about to use tonight...
...if you sleep in your own bed, I'll buy you a pony!

*****************************

So, yes, something has come between Mark and I. It is 3 foot tall and filled with enthusiam.

Last night, I put her to bed. She was fine for a while, but then decided she was done in her bed so she cried. Then she screamed. Then she cried again, this time with big alligator tears.

She falls apart into this heap of heaving, sobbing, weeping child, looking at me with those "don't you remember that I was an orphan" eyes.

I finally can't take it anymore so I bring her in my room and lay her on my bed. (Stop with the look- I wanted to see the end of Apprentice!)

She giggles with glee!

I've been had.

I have another wonderful website to share with you.

Hee hee! All so funny!
And thanks for the "I'll give you a bandaid" idea....that just might work with my girls. Or stickers. My girls love stickers, which may be why I find them everywhere. :)
Thank you so much for my magnet! I got it in the mail and it is proudly displayed on my fridge!
Have a great weekend!

Ok I’m the glove on the left and I hear ya on the snow thing. The best tagline I read and I have the paper was a bridge collapse in Ludington “car size hole in bridge” the car is at the bottom of the river.
I can remember when I thought hose women in the store were weak who let their kids eat in the store, yep I cannot tell ya how many boxes of opened whatever worked at the moment snacks we have scanned. Tell you are one you can/should not judge.
The apprentice was good I too resorted to bribery to get Brooke to bed so I could watch it, can you not see it my time to not deal with you after 9:00pm.

Ok so I need to proread better correction those women not the hose women.

Friday Fluff is Fenomenal Fun!!

Love the headlines! Those are always hilarious. This wasn't a headline, but I have a calendar of the Stupidest Things Ever Said, and one of the NFL football commentators said "he would have been in the end zone for a touchdown if he hadn't been tackled."

How much do these guys get paid for such brilliance?!

Enjoy your "bedfellow", as my grandmother would call her. Soon she'll be all grown up...

OK...we SO get that SAME look from our 3 year old adopted little girl!!! I HATE It!!! I feel SO guilty!! As long as I don't give into it ALL the time, I'll be ok!! Will they use that look the rest of their life?!?! I hope not! :) Have a great day! I hope your snow comes to us here in Alabama!! (fat chance, huh?)

My hand is the one in the middle. I am looking out the window right now at snow falling- well more trickling down. It is really light, but still falling, nonetheless. We only have a couple of inches, but I am tired of all of the grimy slush on the roads. I am ready for spring!

I love the headlines. They were pretty funny! I have a book of funny signs, billboards, bumper stickers, bulletin articles, etc. It is really fun to look at.

The "I'll give you a bandaid" cracked me up...I have actually used that one! LOLOL

And the headlines crack me up! Too funny!

I'll definitely make sure I show up for Friday's Fluff next week too!

Thanks for the laugh!

Those things they write always make me smile. Our language and how we use it really is funny a lot of the time. Glad this was a better week for you.

What a great fluffy friday!!!

Although we aren't dealing with the snow...we are dealing with freezing temps. Brr..... :-)

Thanks for the laugh... I really needed that today.

As for the snow...I'd have that over this aweful icy cold rain anyday. To date, only one day of snow here in Dingwall, Scotalnd

I have both hands up, I am sick of the snow and we have only gotten a couple of inches.

And the whole Lauren in bed with you thing, Jocey still sleeps in bed with us from time to time, all she has to do is look into daddys eyes and say Daddy I want to sleep with you,and then of course Chuck being the softy he is, says come on! I dont argue to much though, she still is our little baby!

Love your Friday Fluff Sue! Been there done that with the little one "Sleeping in the Middle"...actually thinking back on it....those were sweet days! She would run as hard as she cold and make a jump for the sofa at the bottom of our bed and then bounce on up into bed with us! PRICELESS!
Hope you have a very blessed weekend!
Love,

Enjoy that 3 foot barrier while you can! Before you know it, she'll be hitting 5 foot. sigh...

Send some snow my way. Our area of Texas is way too dry. The farm needs the moisture! We were excited and praising God for the 1/2" of rain last week. It has been so long.
