In Christ Alone

I ran across this very sobering quote:

General Douglas MacArthur, American general, 1880-1964

“History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral
decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either
a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral collapse, or a progressive
deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”
I vote that we pray for a spiritual awakening.

Amazingly powerful video.

Amen and Amen... In Christ Alone, that was awesome.

Our church is now doing prayer 3x a day, 6:00am noon and 6:00pm to pray for our nation. We need a revival for sure.

Blessings to you,

Susan

I heard someone preaching on Jesus writing in the sand just the other day. They spoke of the fact that He was silent-listening to what the Father would tell Him to do. And then He wrote and spoke.
I am afraid we have done to much speaking before we have asked the Father what He would have us do and say.
Look at the mess we have gotten ourselves into.
May we learn to listen and then act and speak what He would have us do and say.

It reminds me of Isreal. They cried for a human king, rather than Divine rule and look where they wound up! I am not American but pray for revival in Canada as well!

I am so with Happygeek. I thought the same thing yesterday. Sharon, too. I am praying because yesterday I got soo disturbed by some things in the news...I was tempted to do a post..but, I hesitate to go there on the blog...prayer before talk is a very good thing! :)

This is a great & timely post. Thank you Sue! You use your voice well on your blog! God bless you!

OH Maria,
I have a hard time holding my tongue sometimes! But I try to remember the focus of this blog, it is to encourage others to grow!

Every once in a while I delve into the political, but overall it's not my calling! :)

Although it's always on my mind.
