Psalms 62

Psalms 62:5-8

How’s your soul doing? Your mind and thought life?
Are they racing?
5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;

Ever feel hopeless?
my hope comes from Him.

Have I put my hopes for happiness and security in anyone else?

6 He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

Am I trying to do it on my own?
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
He is my mighty rock, my refuge.

There’s just this one area in my life that I can’t seem to get over…

8 Trust in him at all times, O people;

And...I haven't gone to Him…

pour out your hearts to Him,
for God is our refuge.

NIV
He loves and adores you, reach out to Him, He's waiting...

I must surrender myself to HIM daily.

The devil can get in my thoughts, he wants to steal my peace.. my joy..

The devil loves it when when I doubt God's plan. But I know God's plan is perfect for me and my life. I will not allow the devil to steal anything away from me!!!! He is my refuge!!

Thank you for the reminder.

Hugs

He brings peace to the heart and rest for the soul.
This area of my life has been a real test to see if I would just rest and not try and figure it out.

I love that picture, with "Ayer's" rock (I think that's what it's called) in the background and THAT verse. What solace it brings when I'm troubled.

Great thoughts - thanks for sharing.

(I especially like the photo too - I climbed that Rock in 1975!)
