Just for fun!

A merry heart does good like a medicine,
so here's some quotes from Steven Wright that make me laugh:

OK, so what's the speed of dark?

How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.

I intend to live forever - so far, so good.

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Boycott shampoo! Demand the REAL poo!

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to have to paint it.

I know when I am having a not so great day, my kids will say something funny and it turns the whole day around. Kids are such comedians. The other day, I was babysitting for a friend of mine and one of her kids had a horrible diaper rash and wasnt too happy. Jocey got onto the computer and started typing and praying.. Bless her little heart, I think that she repeated the same things about 100 times. She doesnt pronounce her V's very well so if it has a v in it she replaces it with B's. So she kept saying I pray for Pastor Tom, Pastor Bicki, and for this world to stop sinning. She also asked that Chuckie would stop being bad and stop crying. I had to turn my head a laugh silently. She was very sincere in here prayers but her fingers were typing just as fast as she was praying. She must of typed 5 pages worth of stuff. I just thought that Father God was up there just smiling and chuckling over this little girls prayers. But for the rest of the day, things just got better.

Thanks for the laughs!! I found your blog on the LPM Blog. I noticed what you said about not wanting to become obsessed by a "lousy ten pounds". Have you been listening to Beth's "The Lord God Made a Woman" series on the Living Proof website? It has been really inspiring for me. Something that I definitely needed, at just the right time. Just thought I'd give you the heads up, if you didn't know about it already. Love your blog...you have a beautiful family. Blessings to all!!

i like the "real poo" entry. :)

we need FUN and laughter every day, amen?

i always get it from my nephews. yesterday i was sitting outside with them (they are 2 and 3), while they ate their popsicles. when they were done i used one of their leftover popsicle sticks to pretend i was picking my nose with it, ha! and then little ashton took it from me and REALLY dug it up in his nose, i could have cried laughing. then he said in this precious little voice, "mmmmm (he stutters!) mmaybe we should throw this away now."
